WattCostLab is a free consumer information website. This page explains current and potential revenue sources and how they are kept separate from editorial decisions.
WattCostLab is connected to Google AdSense. Display advertising may be served when and where Google enables it for the site. Advertisers do not determine calculator formulas, editorial conclusions, source selection or page rankings.
Google Analytics is used for aggregate site measurement and product improvement. Analytics data is not used to change calculator equations in favor of an advertiser or commercial partner.
WattCostLab does not currently rely on an active affiliate program. If affiliate links are added, eligible links will be disclosed and may generate a commission at no additional cost to the user.
No homeowner lead marketplace or contractor referral form is currently active. A future referral service may allow users to request contact from relevant providers. If introduced, it will use explicit disclosures and appropriate privacy controls.
Payment for advertising, sponsorship, affiliate participation or a future referral relationship will not automatically provide favorable editorial treatment or a higher editorial ranking.
Cost models, equations and source choices are developed independently from advertising relationships. See the Editorial Policy and Methodology for more information.
WattCostLab accepts inquiries about display advertising, clearly labeled sponsorship and relevant commercial partnerships. An inquiry does not mean a sponsorship is active. Any paid relationship that is accepted must remain separate from calculator formulas and editorial conclusions and should be disclosed where it appears.
WattCostLab does not sell undisclosed paid rankings, fake reviews or changes to technical calculator outputs in exchange for payment.
The electricity supplier comparator ranks the offer rows supplied by the user according to the selected comparable-cost inputs and filters. Advertising, sponsorship or future affiliate/referral compensation cannot move a supplier upward in the cheapest-cost ranking.
If WattCostLab later enters a referral relationship with an electricity supplier or switching service, referral links or sponsored placements will be labeled separately from the neutral cost ranking and disclosed on the relevant page.
