ADAPTATION READINESS · USER-SELECTED CONCERNS

Home Climate Adaptation Planner

Select the climate concerns that matter for your property, mark which protective measures are complete or planned, and build a transparent adaptation budget.

This page does not predict property-level climate risk. Do not select a hazard just because of your country. Verify local exposure using official hazard maps, building authorities, insurers or qualified professionals.

1. Select the concerns relevant to your property

Do not select a hazard just because of your country. Verify local exposure using official hazard maps, building authorities, insurers or qualified professionals.

2. Review adaptation actions

Select at least one concern above to display adaptation actions.

Project cost and annual benefit fields are deliberately blank. Enter local quotes or your own estimates; WattCostLab does not invent contractor prices for climate adaptation.

3. Your adaptation readiness summary

The readiness score measures completion of the selected protective actions. It is not a climate hazard probability, property-value estimate, engineering certification or insurance risk score.

How the planner works

Done actions receive full readiness credit, planned actions receive half credit, and not-yet/not-assessed actions receive no credit. Not-applicable actions are excluded. This scoring is intentionally simple and transparent.

Why WattCostLab does not automatically predict your local climate risk

Climate datasets such as Copernicus are valuable, but property-level decisions require appropriate spatial resolution, bias adjustment, local hazard mapping and building-specific information. This version uses Location to show official reference portals rather than generating a false risk score.

Frequently asked questions

Does the planner tell me whether my home will flood or overheat?

No. It organizes adaptation actions after you identify relevant concerns. Use official local hazard maps and qualified professionals for property-specific exposure.

Are the project costs automatically estimated?

No. Adaptation and contractor prices vary too much by property and location. Enter local quotes or estimates and use linked WattCostLab calculators where applicable.

Is the readiness score an insurance or engineering score?

No. It is only a transparent completion score for the actions you selected.
