Most systems need periodic visual inspection and monitoring rather than frequent mechanical servicing. Cleaning needs depend strongly on rainfall, dust, pollen and roof pitch.

Power electronics may require service or replacement before the modules reach the end of their useful life. Warranty terms should be reviewed separately for modules, inverters and labor.
Monitor production
A sudden drop in generation can indicate shading, inverter faults, wiring issues or module problems. Production monitoring helps identify problems before they materially reduce annual output.
