Pool Pump Electricity Cost Calculator

Estimate the electricity cost of a pool pump from its average operating power and filtration runtime.

Energy/day
Cost/day
Cost/month
Cost/year

Default inputs are examples, not claims about every product. Replace them with measured or manufacturer-specific values.

Formula

Daily kWh = watts ÷ 1,000 × operating hours
Daily cost = daily kWh × electricity rate.

What makes the estimate more accurate?

Variable-speed pumps can use very different power at different speeds. If your pump changes speed during the day, use measured daily kWh or calculate each operating stage separately and add the results.
