Electric Oven Electricity Cost Calculator

Estimate the energy cost of electric oven use from an average operating-power value and cooking time.

Energy/day
Cost/day
Cost/month
Cost/year

Default inputs are examples, not claims about every product. Replace them with measured or manufacturer-specific values.

Formula

Daily kWh = watts ÷ 1,000 × operating hours
Daily cost = daily kWh × electricity rate.

What makes the estimate more accurate?

Oven heating elements cycle after preheating, so rated element power can overstate average draw over a long cook. Measured energy per cooking session is a better input when available.

Data note: Electricity prices vary by location and tariff. The default $0.173/kWh is a U.S. residential reference; use your actual utility rate for decision-making. See sources.

Estimate only. Actual energy use depends on equipment, controls, climate and user behavior.
